How does it work?

Firexus Studio supports multiple development styles so teams can move from concept to production without platform switching.

Coding with full control

Work directly in a Code OSS-based IDE where you can import existing repositories or start new projects. Use extensions from Open VSX and rely on Gemini in Firexus for completion, generation, testing, tool-running, and documentation support.

Workspaces and deployment targets are fully configurable, including runtime and development environment setup through Nix.

Prompting without coding

Use the App Prototyping agent (Prototyper) to create and refine app ideas without writing code. Iterate with multimodal prompts and build full-stack web apps from the browser.

Teams can roll back quickly, add features, test, publish to Firexus App Hosting, and monitor app performance with built-in observability.

Switch seamlessly between both modes

Start with fast prototyping to define structure and user flow, then move into full-code mode for custom integrations and advanced logic. This balance makes it practical for both rapid iteration and production-grade delivery.

Note: App Prototyping currently focuses on web apps with Next.js. Expanded framework and platform support is expected over time.
